Mate with Roy leading the way up front, we can win this thing. Adam Blair can scare em away with his haka. Benji Marshall can carve up in the backs, Lance Hohaia as well. Webby will be a rock at the back. Soliola and Matai can beat Hodges/Cooper/Inglis.
Kiwis unlike other birds don’t fly from danger
We are danger itself.
We Stand firm & fight side by side.
Just Ask Wiki, Stacey & Kearney what makes you a Kiwi.
WE DON”T GIVE UP!
Show the World where Rugby League got its balls from!
GIVE EM A TASTE OF KIWI.
Go hard boys. Carry our belief over to Aussie and we will do it! Warm up the big shoulder eh Steve haha what a shame Hodges is out of the cup so you can’t sit him on his bum. Oh well, you can still sit the wolfman down!
Play your heart out! You are my favourite player, and I know you will make me and the rest of N.Z proud when you run out and play in the black jersey! You are the man! Your dynamite out of dum,my half, so take them on!
And if you score a try please do a celebration, so I know you got my message! Just point to the Kiwi on your jersey, it’ll make my day!
To the rest of the boys
You are all my heroes as well! Kia Kaha!
Bring the trophy home!
For the first time since 2005 there is a real sense that the Kiwis are the equal of anything the Aussies and Poms can offer. Bring home the cup boys and make a nation proud!
Although ive lived in aussie for 13 years now, im still a kiwi through and through and will always support any NZ team……and whoever else aussie is playing if its not us!!
You are our boys, you are our team, you are our family. We your supporters know you can bring this home for all of us to enjoy. Play hard, play fair, play well.

the media predicted that you’l lose in game 1. they think the kangaroos are so high & mighty.. the difference between the two teams in that game, from mine and my mates perspective, is nothing. the kangaroos just fired harder & faster then you guys.. by the semis your combos will be cranking and defence will be hitting.
make NZ proud, but more importantly - make yourselves proud
We’ll be making the trip to come and support you boys in the final at Suncorp. We bought our tickets and flights a month ago thats how certain we were that you were gonna make the final.
Kia kaha xoxo
Congraulations boys - you’ve done what most NZ teams can’t, made it to the Grand Final!! Now you’re just 80 minutes away from holding up the World Cup.
Keep playing with that same passion you’ve shown over the last few weeks. All your supporters are behind you 100% - we know you’ll make us proud on the day. GO THE KIWIS!!
Well Kiwi’s, while England were getting thrashed by Aussie, the Aussie commentators were saying England were still the second strongest team in the world.
When you guys beat England in the meanest comeback I’ve ever seen, the Aussie commentators still said they were the second strongest team in the world.
When you guys beat England a second time in the Semi-Final, they still thought England were the second best team.
Now they are saying you have no chance against Australia.
The Aussie Commentators just will not pull their heads out of a certain place, swallow their pride and admit they were wrong 3 times.
Prove them wrong again guys coz I’m sick of their one sided comments. Never anything good to say about you lot.
We have a lot of top players out but I still see a lot of top players still in the team with lots of fire power, enough fire power to topple any team including the so called Greatest Aussie team ever.
So best of luck and unleash everything you have and I’ll be happy. Don’t be afraid to dummy a bit and go solo Benji, you are still the man and great to see the shoulders back to normal. Fien work on those kicks for the Vatuvei in the corner. And Vatuvei, the wingers are afraid of you and the up and unders.
Just go for the ball and slam into them if you have to but keep your eye on the prize. They’ll be damn scared of the Worlds Best Winger in the corner of their eye. Hohaia, that is some of the best stepping I’ve seen for ages, even close to Benji’s. But the high ball, just stick your knee forward so it hits an Aussie in the gut or head. I can go on for ages about all of you players coz you’ve all played AWESOME!!
I hope you all hold an Aussie for our big forwards or smaller players to come and flatten from behind. I hope to see a lot of bbq ribbed Aussies come this weekend.
Once again wish you all the best, and hope you get a fair and even ref, linesman etc that doesn’t ruin the game like the opening game against Aussie. Bring Home the Cup brothers!!! You guys can do it. If there is team who can win the World Cup and has a best chance…you guys have it.
All the Rotorua cuzzies will be joining in the haka with you lot.
Would be great to put one over the Aussies, I’m sure you’ll do us proud, will be a tough game but a competitive game, love to watch the rugby league, think Stephen Kearney is doing an awesome job and hope you can string together some great plays on the night.
All the best, those of us at home will be right behind ya……
A message for each of the boys…..hope you guys get to read it:

Sam Perrett- Your a powerfull thing! Get in there and take on Folau….you can take him….I mean he is a cry baby after all!

Jeremy Smith- The man #3.
Issac Luke- My favourite player! Get in there nad make me and your team and supporters proud! You always do! YOU THE MAN ISSAC! And love your pukana’s in the haka!
Greg Eastwood- Your a legend! This will be the last time I see you for a while cos you won’t be playing NRL next year! Go out with a bang!
Sam Rapira- Remember when you absoultely owned that Pom last week on your hit up! How about a few more of those against the Aussies! Just run it at Lockyer…you’ll be sweet. I mean if Jarryd Hayne can own him….you sure as hell can!
Bronson Harrison- You’ve been awesome the last couple of weeks bro! Just keep it up!
To all the boys, and Stephen Kearney, hope you guys get to read this and have a bit of a laugh! I’ll be watching on Saturday night! I love you guys, I love N.Z, and I know you will make us all proud! Kia Kaha boys! 24-0 ring any bells!? 2005 against Australia…lets do it again!
Go the Kiwis!! As always, win or lose we are behind you 100%! But I have no doubt you guys will be fired up and determined to silence a few critics and blow the international League scene wide open! There have been classic wins through the years from ‘85,through the ’90s and the unforgettable 24-0 in ‘05…times when no one gave us a chance. We can do it again, and the time is right! Kia Kaha boys, all the best-Show no mercy!!!!
Gentlemen listen up; we are in the 2008 World Cup Rugby League Grand Final!! It does not matter how we got here, what matters is that we have given ourselves an opportunity to compete for the World Heavy Weight Championship Of Rugby League!
I’ve always known that we are as dangerous as the Aussies, and we need to show it on the paddock, if we are to win. Tonight is the most important day to play the best football we’ve played in the last 4 years. Yes there will be spills and thrills but at all times our focus is 80min of “White Hot, Relentless Rugby League”. It’s a simple game but played with honour and passion, it will deliver us the highest praise this game can offer…World Champions!!
Boys, this is it. Leave nothing in the tank here boys. t is self belief that can carry you all the way boys believe in yourselves that you CAN do it and you WILL do it!! Go boys, theres 4 million of us here cheering you on GO THE MIGHTY KIWIS!!
Shakespeare once wrote a pre-battle speech in Henry V that, with a bit of editing, said:
“Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more.
When the blast of war blows in our ears,
Then imitate the action of the tiger;
Stiffen the sinews, summon up the blood,
Disguise fair nature with hard-favour’d rage.”
This is your time, guys. This stage is yours. History awaits.
You are our team. You are brothers. You are Kiwis.
To the Kiwi Rugby League Team. I want to start off by saying congratulations - it’s the last game of the 2008 season, and you’ve made it to the World Cup Final! Awesome! All your hardwork has paid off. As fans all we expect of you is that you play with PRIDE & PASSION! Get stuck in and tear em apart!
Give em a taste of Kiwi, show em your the best, Give em a taste of Kiwi you’re better than the rest!!
You have come a long way, but there is another mantle that comes with this question…
Who am I? I am a champion!
I will conquer what has not been conquered. Defeat will not be in my creed. I will believe where others have doubted. I will always endeavor to uphold the prestige, honour and respect of my team. I have trained my mind and my body will follow.
Who am I? I am a champion!
I will acknowledge the fact that my opponents do not expect me to win. But I will never surrender. Weakness will not be in my heart. I will look to my comrades, and I will draw strength from them.
Who am I? I am a champion!
I will gladly go onto the field of battle, and I will move forward in everything I can do. I will reach my field of battle by any means at my disposal, and when I get there, I will arrive violently. I will rip the heart from my enemy and leave it beating on the ground. Because he cannot stop me.
Who am I? I am a champion!
To my side I have comrades. Through sacrifice, through blood, through sweat, through tears – never will I let them fall. Never will I let them down. And I will never leave an enemy behind, because our opponent does not know my heart.
Who am I? I am a champion!
No-one will deny me. No-one will define me. No-one will tell me who and what I am or can be. Belief will change my world. It has moved countries; it has moved continents; it has put man on the moon. And it will carry me through this battle.
Who am I? I am a champion!
Defeat. Retreat. Those are not my words. I don’t understand their definitions. I don’t understand when things go wrong. I don’t understand mistakes. But I do understand victory, and I understand never surrendering. And no matter how things go, my heart and my mind will carry my body until my limbs are too weak.
Who am I? I am a champion!
Today will be that day. Not tomorrow, not next week, but right here, right now. History will remember me. I will not worry about him being kind. I will define myself. I will write my own praises. And no-one will tell me what I cannot be. I will never leave the field without knowing that I gave everything I’ve got.
Boy’s we are behind you all the way. Go and do the business against those Aussies, come game day display your pride, power & passion for the Kiwi’s jersey and the Kiwi spirit will spur you on to victory.
You rock guys. We are so very very proud of you, and the passion you showed throughout the campaign. When the ABs fell out of the world cup our pride took a thrashing! You guys have restored it. You have great mana in the eyes of a young sports fan in our family.
Congratulations World Champions!! I, like the rest of the supporters above knew you all could do it. You probably won’t even look at these messages coz you’ll all be busy partying. Nothing can quite describe the emotion from the start of the game as I was doing the Haka with you lot and as the Aussies moved forward to you all, to jumping up and down on each try you scored and each fumble that the Australians made.
World Champions finally!! I still can’t believe last nights score. Yeeaaaaahhh!!!!! You guys are the MEANEST!! Everyone who I mentioned in my last message came through. Haven’t felt like this since you won Tri-Nations with Britain and Aussie.
A mate of mine text me before the game asking what did I reckon the score will be and I said I put $1 pick the score, 26-24 Kiwi’s to win. He texted, Boy, Are you that confident they are going score that much and win?
I text that if a team with the odds highly against them like the French Rugby Team could lose twice to the All Blacks by 50 points before Rugby World Cup and then beat the All Blacks in the World Cup. The Kiwi’s can do the same to the Aussies.
He texted back after the game, “Just like the French”
Big Congratulations to Stephen Kearney and Wayne Bennett. 32-20 and I still have a big smile on my face. $1 dollar short though
Way to go brothers!!! World Cup Champs!!!
OMG, OMG, OMG! I’m still stunned! I’m still pinching myself! What a game! What a comeback!
The defence was what won it for us in the end - the kiwis knew they had to score at least 30 points to win the game but it was our commitment in defence, very much like the 2005 tri nations effort, that got us home! The Aussies also hadn’t been tested like that in a long time and it showed. It was great to see the Aussies panicing and trying to shift the ball…they lost the plot in the last 10 minutes!
That Penalty Try was a no-brainer and people are going to argue that try for a long time to come. I believe the Video Referee had no choice. Hohia would have got there or at least contested Slater for the ball and Williams had to pay the price for taking Lance out! Stupid!
I’m a big NZ Wests Tigers fan (for 15 years now) and this, for me, is equal to the magic 2005 Double! What a feeling! I’d admit, Benji didn’t have the best game (he was having a shocker in the first half) but he certainly fixed himself up, especially on defence, in that 2nd half and his try from the Billy Slater blunder was a reward for the constant pressure he applied in that 2nd half. His kick placement to lead to that final try was spot on too! Well done Benji.
The Man of the match award was a joke. Sure, Lockyer had a superb game BUT he didn’t get them home and in my mind the award should have gone to Hohia, Vatuvei or Jeremy Smith…those 3 were outstanding!
Oh well, history is history.
I’d like to see the Kiwis kick on for the next four years from here, but no matter what happens from now till 2013…WE ARE THE WORLD CHAMPIONS!
World Champions - I’m still pinching myself! All your fans back here always had faith - the way you played, and the passion and spirit you showed just blew me away. Your win was well deserved - you played hard and wanted it more, and it showed in the end result.
It’s awesome to see the media attention here focussing on the Kiwis for a change, and I know your win will do wonders for League in NZ. The respect you have always deserved and are finally receiving…long may it last.
World Champions for the next five years - way to go boys!! NZ league fans around the world are proud of you!!!
Kiaora guys. You are doing so well in the competition so far, keep it up. I do have a comment to make. I’m dissapointed how the Haka is being done. Its too sloppy, you all making up your own actions, your leader was doing the “seig hell/hang loose” signs against the Australians when leading the Haka, what do you call that?????? Fix up your Haka and represent it well. You can Pukana as much as you like but keep it consistent with the Haka. MAKE IT MIGHTY! Whakamaua kia tina, haumia hui e, TAIKI E!!!
Yay! Go Kiwis!
Go hard Kiwi’s! Believe in yourselves, cos we sure as hell do!
Bring it home.

Go Get ‘Em Boys. Looking forward to another trip to the airport!!!
Boys, this is it. Leave nothing in the tank here boys. t is self belief that can carry you all the way boys believe in yourselves that you CAN do it and you WILL do it!! Go boys, theres 4 million of us here cheering you on GO THE MIGHTY KIWIS!!

It’s shaping up to a true David & Goliath battle. Come on Kiwi’s you can triumph. NZ is behind you guys cheering you on, all the way… GO KIWIS!
you can do it, seen it before, so do it again. proud to be a KIWI hell yeah
Shakespeare once wrote a pre-battle speech in Henry V that, with a bit of editing, said:
“Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more.
When the blast of war blows in our ears,
Then imitate the action of the tiger;
Go get those Roos, boys! Show them what you got and take ‘em apart!
Kiwis all the way!!
On a side note, congrats on an impressive tournement
Go The Kiwis. It’s all about belief. We’re good enough. Let’s show the Aussies some of that great kiwi spirit
Because who am I? I am a champion!
Boy’s we are behind you all the way. Go and do the business against those Aussies, come game day display your pride, power & passion for the Kiwi’s jersey and the Kiwi spirit will spur you on to victory.
GOOD LUCK & we’ll be cheering you on!
carve up the ozzys…..yeeah
Kia Ora All,
Good luck for tomorrow night!!! Take it to the aussies and bring home the World Cup!!! Mean Maori Mean.
A Champion Team Will Beat A Team Of Champions
do this for your country
You rock guys. We are so very very proud of you, and the passion you showed throughout the campaign. When the ABs fell out of the world cup our pride took a thrashing! You guys have restored it. You have great mana in the eyes of a young sports fan in our family.
Thank you so much Kiwi world champions. Your country is gratefull to you for bring home the world cup.
THE KIWI’S HAVE FINALLY BEEN UNLEASHED!!!!!
KIIIIIWIIIIIIIS!!!
Kiwis WORLD CHAMPIONS. Enjoy the kudos that is coming your way at last. Always have faith and stay loyal.
KIWI… CLAP CLAP CLAP KIWI … CLAP CLAP CLAP….. KIWI .. CLAP CLAP CLAP.
WORLD CHAMPIONS. YEHAAAAA..
Miss T xoxo
Woof, well done to the Kiwis!
You made the World Cup worth watching in the end.
From a very dissapointed, but happy England supporter!
P.S Lance O’Hai is a mean player
Kiaora guys. You are doing so well in the competition so far, keep it up. I do have a comment to make. I’m dissapointed how the Haka is being done. Its too sloppy, you all making up your own actions, your leader was doing the “seig hell/hang loose” signs against the Australians when leading the Haka, what do you call that?????? Fix up your Haka and represent it well. You can Pukana as much as you like but keep it consistent with the Haka. MAKE IT MIGHTY! Whakamaua kia tina, haumia hui e, TAIKI E!!!
NO ONE HITS LIKE WE DO yeeaaahhh GO THE BOYS and SSSSSHHHHHH the Haters
